Galerie de l’UQAM is pleased to present works by Mario Merola from December 5 to 23, 1984. These sculptures are the result of a rich aesthetic and plastic research. The renowned artist has worked over several years on the integration of art and architecture through creative activities ranging from murals to “relief”.
The exhibition Mario Merola. Sculptures reveals a precise characteristic of Merola’s work: we follow the process of transformation from the functional modular form to the non-functional, towards pure aesthetic form.
