Entry to the Galerie de l’UQAM is free.
Address and entrance



The Galerie de l’UQAM is accessible from the entrance located at 1400 rue Berri, in room J-R120, on the first floor of UQAM’s Pavillon Judith-Jasmin.
There is a drop-off point for paratransit on Sainte-Catherine street.

Parking
Three indoor parking lots are accessible 24/7 at UQAM. Several spaces are reserved for people with reduced mobility in UQAM’s indoor parking lots.

Paid on-street parking is also available at several locations in the area. For more information, visit the Stationnement Montréal website.
During your visit
Seats are available at the exhibition entrance, and folding chairs can be provided on request at reception.
The Galerie offers temporary access to UQAM Wi-Fi. Instructions on how to connect are available at reception.
Checkroom
The Galerie offers visitors a free, unlocked, self-service checkroom.
It is possible to walk through the exhibition rooms with a medium-sized handbag or small backpack.
Please note that we are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items. In the event of loss or theft, please contact UQAM’s Prevention and Security Department.
Food
Food and beverages are not permitted in the exhibition spaces.
Artworks
All our rooms are equipped with video cameras. Please do not touch the artworks unless otherwise indicated.
Cameras
Photographs may be taken in the showrooms for personal use. However, the use of flash or tripods is not permitted.
For all requests concerning photography for public use, please contact the Mediation and Communications Manager at lanthier-lapierre.lea@uqam.ca.
During events at the Galerie de l’UQAM, photographs and videos may be taken for documentation purposes. When people appear in images, we try to take photos with visitors from behind whenever possible. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Restrooms
Restrooms at UQAM are equipped with a UQAM ID card reader for access. If you don’t have a UQAM card, you can borrow one from the Galerie de l’UQAM at the reception desk.

People with reduced mobility and of the Disability diversity
The Galerie meets the requirements of Kéroul, a non-profit organization which promotes accessible tourism and culture. The building is accessible and adapted to the needs of wheelchair users (exhibition rooms, elevators, toilets).


Inside the Gallery, there is an access ramp as well as an 8-step staircase to the larger exhibition room.
Service animals
Guide dogs and service dogs are welcome.

The Galerie de l’UQAM’s mission is to be an inclusive, welcoming and open space, encouraging encounters and exchanges, where all forms of expression related to art are presented. Our gallery aims to encourage access to culture for all, by offering everyone the opportunity to participate in our services and activities.
If you have any specific needs that we should know about, please let us know so that we can better serve you.
An interpreter in Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ) or American Sign Language (ASL) can be made available to groups wishing to visit our exhibitions with people who are deaf or hard of hearing. All activities are free. Please note that reservations must be made two weeks in advance. Please contact our staff as soon as possible, given the time required to book interpreters.
