The exhibition Art et enseignement features works by four artists (Pierre Ayot, Peter Gnass, Pierre Granche, Irène Whittome) who are full-time teachers at the university. Galerie de l’UQAM presents the work of these artists/teachers, not as a simple “exhibited work” but as testimony to a usually ignored, poorly defined or misinterpreted dimension of artistic production: that is, production as a process of research and reflection.
