Nuit blanche 2026 in Montreal

Galerie de l’UQAM presents two exhibitions during the 2026 edition of Nuit blanche in Montreal. Saodat Ismailova. Paths of Light, an exhibition that provides insight into the ancestral traditions, rituals, myths, and post-Soviet heritage of Central Asia. The themes of memory, spirituality, immortality, and extinction play an essential role in her work, which is steeped in history and poetry. At the same time, Océane Buxton, who is completing their master’s degree in visual and media arts at UQAM, presents Prophétesse,  an exhibition that straddles the line between documentary and folklore, where the collective desire to gossip and reinvent certain stories arises.

Mediators will be in the gallery space to present the works on display and to accompany visitors in their thoughts.
