For this first major monograph on the work of Peter Gnass, six authors were invited to reflect upon an aspect of the artist’s work since the 1960s. Louise Déry, co-curator of the exhibition with Jocelyne Fortin, analyzes a new installation, C for CUT. Louise Poissant, Jocelyne Fortin and Marcel Saint-Pierre are attracted to three series in Gnass’ output: the Topologs, the Progressions and the Projections. Patrice Loubier takes up Gnass’ furtive practices and Eve-Lyne Beaudry discusses his involvement with copyright issues. The catalogue also comes with a digital photograph, printed separately, of the installation C for CUT, signed by Peter Gnass. This publication won an award in the 2005 Grafika competition.
