“I enter the workshop. On the wall, very fine needles pin watercolours in shades of red, orange and flesh: pathways.” These opening words set the tone. Le Storie seeks to renew the relationship between text and form, image and sound. Thus, the books need to be looked at and read aloud, their poetic resonance, to be heard. Since 2008, the author has inspired herself from exchanges with visual artists to write a literary triptych. The first book is entitled Printemps du Louvre. Le Storie was written in the wake of Monique Régimbald-Zeiber’s painted work Éclats de Rome.

Johanne Jarry lives and works in Montreal. She has worked as a journalist and literary researcher, and is currently a lecturer in the literary studies department at UQAM. She is writing a doctoral thesis in étude et pratique des arts at the same university. For the past years, she has experimented with interdisciplinarity as a means of intensifying her relationship to form. The publication was supported by Figura, a centre for research on writing and imagination.
