Models for the City of Brossard Monumental Sculpture Contest

On Thursday, March 20, 1986, the Université du Québec à Montréal and the City of Brossard signed a contract concerning a monumental sculpture competition intended for the students of the fine arts department of UQAM.
The competition was open to all students of the fine arts department at UQAM. Closed since March 7, it attracted 48 participants. On April 23, the models and related documents were presented to a jury made up of three professors from the university’s plastic arts department: Messrs Yves Trudeau, Mario Merola and Claude Courchesne, and two advisers from the City of Brossard, Ms. Huguette Deschamps and Mr. Gaétan L’Heureux.
The winners of the competition are Lancelot Tremblay and Nina Gauvin.
