Découvrons la reliure

From May 13 to June 5, an exhibition will be held at the Galerie de l’UQAM, highlighting more than a hundred works by master bookbinders from Europe, Asia, the United States, Australia and Quebec. The presentation of these works, brought together under the theme Découvrons la reliure, will allow you to familiarize yourself with the different techniques specific to this art.

Organized by the Association des relieurs du Québec, the exhibition will allow, through examples of bindings, handcrafted papers and marbled papers, to discover an art practiced for centuries around the world. Other objects, such as leather-making ornaments and jewels will also be part of the presentation, as well as a slide show, produced in collaboration with the Galerie de l’UQAM, on the history of binding.
