This exhibition, presented in two parts, brings together a selection of paintings, engravings and drawings by students in fine arts at UQAM, who participated in an exhibition held at the Won Kwang University in South Korea in May 1988.

The first part, presented from January 27 to February 5, 1989, was inaugurated on January 26, 1989. A second opening took place on March 2, 1989, inaugurating the second part, which took place from March 3 to 12, 1989.

This exhibition, which was initially supposed to take place at the Galerie de l’UQAM from October 14 to 23, 1988, was canceled following a protest movement in solidarity with the students who’s artworks were stolen from the fine arts department. The students selected for the exhibition refused to present their works under such conditions, demanding that their colleagues be compensated for the 18 stolen works that were to be part of the exhibition. Thus, the exhibition was dismantled before its opening and postponed the following year, in 1989.
