Manon De Pauw hard at work on Danses kaladéiscopiques, an installation-performance piece

Summer residency at the gallery

11 July 2019

Galerie de l’UQAM is keeping itself busy, even during the summer! Tomorrow marks the last day that the Groupe de recherche sur la lumière from the Faculté des arts de l’UQAM will be conducting its residency in the gallery space. This group is comprised of artists and teachers from the École des arts visuels et médiatiques de l’UQAM—Manon De Pauw, Alain Paiement and Julie Trudel—and the École supérieure de théâtre de l’UQAM—Nancy Bussières.

As part of this residency, Manon De Pauw and choreographer Pierre-Marc Ouellette are currently working on Danses kaléidoscopiques, an installation-performance piece, with interpreters Bernard Martin, Natalie Zoey Gauld and Pénélope Gromko.

In turn, set designer Nancy Bussières, musician Michel Robidoux and painter Julie Trudel experiment with activating Trudel’s series of paintings Couleur et lumière (2019) by means of light and music.
