These visits are intended to highlight the thematic, formal and conceptual issues of the works presented at the Galerie. They are also intended to introduce Galerie de l\u2019UQAM\u2019s mandate and the primary role of university galleries in the ecology of the visual arts scene. The tours are&nbsp;<strong>flexible and open to all school and community groups<\/strong>. They usually last about 1 hour and can be adapted to meet particular needs and to complement material covered in the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Galerie de l\u2019UQAM can&nbsp;<strong>host your conferences<\/strong>&nbsp;or work sessions in its exhibition galleries, surrounded by the artworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also offer several&nbsp;<strong>complementary workshops<\/strong>&nbsp;aimed at familiarizing your students with different issues related to contemporary art and museology:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/galerie.uqam.ca\/en\/contact\/mandate\/\">mandate<\/a> and role of a university gallery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/galerie.uqam.ca\/en\/oeuvres\/?collection=collection-uqam\">Collection d\u2019\u0153uvres d\u2019art de l\u2019UQAM<\/a>: management, inventory, acquisition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Petite Collection: foray into the world of artists\u2019 multiples<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>other workshops can be developed upon request.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An&nbsp;<strong>interpreter<\/strong>&nbsp;in Langue des signes qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise (LSQ) or American Sign Language (ASL) can be made available to groups wishing to visit our exhibitions with people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Although sanitary conditions now allow us to resume <a href=\"https:\/\/galerie.uqam.ca\/en\/educational-program\/on-site\/\">guided tours in our exhibition spaces<\/a>, we also wish to maintain the possibility of opting for a virtual tour. Through this initiative, the gallery wishes to provide Quebec art teachers with resources and tools they can use to introduce their students to contemporary art. The kits aim to show the scope and variety of the issues addressed by artists today, as well as emphasize art\u2019s vital place in the conversations animating our living, educational, and working environments. Built around exhibitions recently presented at Galerie de l\u2019UQAM, the <em>L\u2019art cultive<\/em> kits offer reproductions of works, exhibition views, video clips, textual information, as well
