Marc Brault. Les fantaisies secrètes des ordinateurs. Phase I

Maste's student in fine arts, UQAM

Artist: Marc Brault

September 4, 1987 - September 13, 1987

Opening: September 3, 1987, 8:00 pm

Les fantaisies secrètes des ordinateurs is a labyrinthine environment that leads to nine installations, seven of which are interactive. Each installation is inspired by and recalls one of the stages through which these two distant, selfish and suspicious beings, the man and the woman, come out of their narcissistic solitude, to get closer in a form of mutual “possession”. The author calls on the notions of Eros and eroticism by directing our attention to the complexity and richness of the emotions that come into play during the formation of the sexual bond.

This work is presented in draft form. During the “phase I” exhibition, visitors will be able to see sketches of the installations and a life-size element: the second installation Les portes de l’enfer.
