Our Mummy at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts

Last night, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts celebrated the inauguration of the Stephan Crétier and Stéphany Maillery Wing for the Arts of One World. Hetep-Bastet’s mummy and coffin, as well as a sphinx, from the Collection d’oeuvres d’art de l’UQAM appear among the museum’s various collections of ancient cultures. Contemporary works of art furthermore form a dialogue with these collections, some of them created by friends of Galerie de l’UQAM such as Leila Zelli and Dominique Blain. Open to the public as of Friday, November 8!
