On the final day that Waiting will be presented at Galerie de l’UQAM, we invite you to come hear curator Fabrizio Gallanti and artists Emmanuelle Léonard, Alain Parent, Jean-Maxime Dufresne and Virginie Laganière talk about this major project. In an informal atmosphere, this activity will allow you to better understand the ideas and concepts underlying the exhibition and the artists’ works.

Waiting, a rich group exhibition bringing together artists from Québec, England, India and Germany, delves into our intimate relationship with time, in particular time spent working, and the pivotal place it holds in our lives. The readings and diverse reimaginings of waiting proposed by the many artists included here show us attempts at understanding it and reckoning with its layered significance.
